Mobility and Stability The Shanta Vira Yoga Perspective - A. Workshop with Michael J. Stewart
Mobility is the ability to move your body purposefully through your day, whereas Stability is the ability of a body to move while maintaining equilibrium and support joints during movement. When we add movement modalities of strength building and range of motion to our Asana practices, then we are insuring that, as we go through life’s’ changes we can maintain fully functional, dynamic vital physical bodies.
However in this very special edition of Shanta Vira Yoga we will also explore elements of Tantric Hatha Yoga: Pranayama, Bandha, Mantra and Mudra for a further and expansive perspective on this embodied incarnation.
You can expect an afternoon of new and familiar practices with an addition of isometric practices, ballistic movements, deep core strengthening, shoulder and pelvic girdle range of motion practices and always some surprises.
This workshop will suit all level of practitioner, especially those of you who are interested in the next level of explorations with your yoga asana and continuity of your physical life as a stable mobile being.
Come with an Open Mind and leave with an Open Heart.
